Early Stages of Illumination: An early shot of the painting process. I began by filling in large blocks of color, adding details in layers on top and finishing with pale highlights. Glair paint tends to dry at about the same rate as acrylic paints, so there is not a lot of time for blending. I did much of mine with an almost dry brush.
